Funding PDF Print

Cheetahs need funding for a variety of reasons Cheetahs need funding for a variety of reasons Your funding can save a cheetah!

Why we need funding

  • Breeding is notoriously difficult, and takes time, patience and love
  • Food for the cubs and pregnant mothers is very expensive as are
  • the vaccinations, vitamin & mineral supplements and vet fees
  • Our current vehicle sponsorship is only temporary

The Fiela Funds Cheetah Breeding Project, a  registered Non Profit Organisation NPO 058-424, started in 2006 and is privately run by Riana van Nieuwenhuizen. The project is independently audited, so you can be sure your donation will be spent as you intend.

The aim of this Fund is to ensure the future of captive breeding and release programmes and to expand the project in the future. Because wildlife experts have predicted that cheetahs will become extinct in the wild within the next ten years, such programmes are vital for the survival of the species.

It is expensive to run a project such as this one and your donation, large or small, will make a real difference.
