CHEETAHS:
Fiela was born on 21 January 2006 and is the reason why Cheetah Experience started. Fiela is the boss of the centre. Riana and Rene are the only persons who can interact with Fiela and Fiela often crawls into bed with either of them at night. She can open the door to the house.

Bibi was born on 17 December 2007. She was born with only a portion of a tail, this is not abnormal, although quite rare. The mom felt this defect and rejected Bibi. She was approximately 7hrs old and weighed 270g. Her front leg was deformed and Riana corrected it by placing it in a splint. The splint was only a half of a Magnum ice cream stick. Bibi can run, play and climb trees, but will not be able to hunt successfully. She is fully grown, but will always be smaller and thinner than a normal cheetah because she didn't suckle from her mom and did not receive the eco colostrum and essential vitamins that she needed. Bibi has the nicest personality of all our tame cheetahs and like Fiela, she sometimes sleeps in the house on the bed. Bibi is the only fully grown cheetah we allow to free roam during our tours.

Nero, Athena, Shanzi, Mika, Tallulah, Powder, Ashika, Shakran, Jesse, Pepsi, Zena, Mafusa, James and November
The cheetah is an endangered species and there are only approx. 1500 left in South Africa. Riana has started a cheetah breeding project of which the cheetahs are the main focus. We do not take daily visitors to the breeding project as only permanent staff members interact with them for cleaning and feeding purposes
Lions:
Jubatus arrived at Cheetah Experience when he was a couple of hours old. He was born on 9 June 2009. He is a split lion which means that his offspring can either be white lions or normal brown lions. Jubatus has a vitamin (A) deficiency and as a result has an unsteady gait and a rather cute sideways, crab-like run! Nonetheless, he is loved by his mommy Eve.

Acinonyx , a white lion arrived at Cheetah Experience when he was 10 days old. He was born on 13 May 2010 and after 10 days he was fetched from his enclosure and brought to us to hand-raise. He and Jubatus have the same father who is a white lion. He is adored by many, he captures you with his beautiful glass blue eyes and soft hearted nature.

Achillus is a brown lion and was the second male lion to arrive at Cheetah Experience. He was born on the 3RD August 2009 and weighs in excess of 120kg. He was raised by Lizaene and they share an amazing bond. You have to see it to believe it. She can kiss him all over his face and take him and Jubatus for walks to the bottom of their enclosure. Achilles and his late sister, Angie, were born on 3 August 2009. We sadly lost Angie to a Vitamin (A) deficiency that was diagnosed by the vets too late. So, instead of having the Three Musketeers in an enclosure, Jubatus and Achilles gives us double the trouble – in a good way!

His shy yet curious nature keeps the staff and volunteers intrigued. His black mane is slowly growing as he is maturing into adulthood, he is the only lion resident with a black mane. Both Napoleon and Jubatus both have an (oepsie) an under developed due claw. Napoleon also comes from the same father as Acinonyx and Jubatus.

SERVALS:
Kitana is a 3 legged serval who was brought to Cheetah Experience in 22 February 2009. She is slightly wild as she was not hand-raised by staff at Cheetah Experience. On her first night with us she had a major accident which resulted in her front left leg needing to be amputated. She has recovered beautifully as the serval relies on their strong back legs and is fast enough to catch mice, rabbits and birds that find themselves in her enclosure.
