The Volunteer Village

As a volunteer, you’ll be staying in our Volunteer Village which can accommodate up to 21 volunteers. There are 14 spacious en-suite apartments housing a maximum of 2 ppl. You’ll share this house with volunteers and interns from all corners of the globe, so there’ll be plenty of time to get to know one another over a braai (what we South Africans call a barbecue) or relax in peace with a coffee in the mornings.

The Volunteer House has a large living area with a TV/DVD, four bathrooms, WiFi throughout the house, a fully self-contained kitchen, laundry facilities and entertainment area with a pool for the hot days.

Our volunteers love the new volunteer village, being able to socialise in the communal areas while having the choice to relax in their rooms. Volunteers can plan social events at the bar or village area and all volunteers are welcome to join.

 

Rooms will be allocated on same gender sharing unless you book as a couple. We have a double room for couples, however we cannot guarantee this room will be available so please enquire beforehand.

If you have any specific accommodation requests, please send us an email well in advance and we will try our best to accommodate you.

 

Private Chalets

 

We have 18 chalets and those on the Working Holiday option, will be accommodated in a 1-, 2- or 3-bedroom chalet. Each chalet has a self-contained kitchenette, small lounge, bathroom, a small patio and barbeque facility. Although you will be staying on your own, you will still be able to socialize with the volunteers and make use of the entertainment area.

Entertainment Area

The entertainment area is located in between the chalets and volunteer village and include a swimming pool and large entertainment hall with a pool table, TV and DVD player.

Laundry

Whichever option you choose, your clothes will be washed on most weekdays (Tues – Fri) by the caretakers. Towels and all linen are supplied and are washed on a weekly basis. Apartments/Chalets will be cleaned by our staff on a regular basis.
