Meet our Genets

Willow & Ember
Hi, we're Willow and Ember!
We are common spotted genets and although we look a lot like a cat we are actually part of the viverridae family and more closely related to civits and binturongs.
We are nocturnal so spend the whole day sleeping in our nest boxes and then play all night. We love to climb on the trees and jump between the branches always trying to see who can go the furthest!
We only weigh just over 1kg, and have tails as long as our bodies to help us balance while climbing and playing.

Forrest & Ash
Hi I am Forrest!
I was born on October 20, 2023. My sister Fern and I were brought here after we were likely found having fallen out of our den. Sadly, Fern passed away in 2024. I have three legs—when I was very young, I injured one while playing. I was so small at the time that, despite the vet’s best efforts, my leg couldn’t be saved and had to be amputated. Even so, I embrace life to the fullest, though I’m a little more shy compared to the girls.
Hi I am Ash!
I was born on August 7, 2022. I’m an orphaned little girl who was found abandoned on someone’s porch. A local family took me in and cared for me during my first four months before bringing me here. I can be a bit naughtier than the others, probably because I grew up surrounded by children who loved to grab me and play with me.
